AAON funds and administers a range of scholarships, grants, and awards. Scholarships and grants are funded by a range of benefactors. Each scholarship and grant has specific criteria that must be satisfied to be awarded to an applicant. To apply for any of the Scholarships and Grants, students will need to complete an online application form. Forms will include a 300 word submission addressing the Scholarship and Grant criteria.
This is a full scholarship awarded to applicants who can demonstrate commitment to aged-care excellence through volunteer work or other community work. Alternatively, a student can show evidence of temperament and discipline to complete their study and assume leadership role in aged care to gain this award . Up to 8 full scholarship are made available each academic year.
Florence Nightingale Scholarship
The Florence Nightingale Scholarship awards three full scholarship to students each year who exhibit the discipline required to complete their course and to contribute to the aged care sector.
Dr Lionel M Chang Age Care Scholarship
This is a full scholarship awarded to applicants who exhibit a talent to work in the sector.
Aged Care Leadership Scholarship
The Aged Care Leadership Scholarship is a privately funded full scholarship awarded to applicants in the early stages of their career or are seeking entry to the sector. Applicants must demonstrate commitment, discipline, attitudes, and ideas that would have a positive contribution to the sector and assume a leadership role in the sector.
Indigenous Aged Care Scholarship
A full scholarship in addition to a cash allowance of $2,000 is provided to support indigenous students who demonstrate the discipline and leadership skills to contribute to the age care sector.
